Silver table lamp ID?

I think this is probably American. Maybe was by grandmother’s (she was born in 1890). Would love your thoughts about age, style, etc. Thanks!

Are there any hallmarks on the piece?

Alas, there are no hallmarks.

With no markings at all, it might not even be silver plate. It might be nickel silver (which isn’t silver at all), or chrome over some base metal.

The pull-chain light socket didn’t start showing up until 1910 or so, and Leviton, who made the sockets, also has its origins around 1910. They could be later replacements, of course. Ditto for the cord - fairly modern, but could be a replacement.

The style harks back to an earlier era, but even today there are companies producing lamps that look like Georgian candlesticks, or like Victorian confections.

Get a nice shade for it, and enjoy it.
