Can anyone give me an idea of the value of this teapot. Gifted to my great grandparents for their wedding in 1912 I am told.
That is a Chester hallmark for 1933 so the story needs to be revisited! The maker is a Birmingham company, S Blanckensee & Son Ltd. For an idea of value I suggest you have a look at Ebay’s “Sold” listings. You won’t find anything exactly the same but you should find a few teapots of similar age and size (you don’t mention what size yours is).
