Silver tong and fob medal - flea market grab box

Hello from Germany
I have two items I found in a grab box with a lot of rubbish at a flea market. Both seem to be produced in Great Britain and I love to know more about them.
One is a fob medal probably from a bicycle race (10 Miles Championship) and was given to J or I Hill - probably sterling silver.
The other is a mussel tong (?) made of electro plated nickel.
Can you help me with some more information ?
Thanks a lot Heike

I think the fob may have been made by Herbert Bushell in 1897, Birmingham.

The tongs (I cannot confirm their likely use) have a design registration mark which was issued in 1909 so they cannot be any older than that.
