Silver topped Malacca wood cane

Hi, I’m trying to identify a cane I inherited from my grandfather. The cane was bought in London before WWI but not sure of the exact date. I have tried doing some research with AI but would like to see if an actual human can verify the findings. The cane top has a single LW mark on it just above the collar. The mark is basically rectangular with no distinct cartouche. The suggestion from the AI is that it is c. 1900 Chinese export silver from Luen Wo in Shanghai. Can anyone help me ascertain if that is accurate? The top is a bit dented and very tarnished and I think I would like to get it restored but not sure if that’s advisable or not. Here is a photo of the cane top.

Please provide photos of the markings, preferably in macro mode.

The mark you can see at the bottom of the photo I uploaded is the only mark I can find anywhere. Unfortunately I have no way of taking a macro photo of it.
