If the lid fits securely then I would think it’s probably original. The hallmark date is 1945 and I would think that the pot’s age is consistent with that. If you are searching for the maker I would say it’s William Comyns & Sons:

An update which suggests it might be a marriage: Lissco first appear in the telephone directory in 1957 (as Lissco Products Ltd, fancy goods, Oxford Street, London). By itself that doesn’t mean that they weren’t in existence before that but they do not appear in the 1943 Post Office London Trades Directory (the most recent one which I can access). So a marriage is now looking like a distinct possibility.

RC is Richard Comyns, a descendant of the original William Comyns whose name continued to appear in the company name.
