Sterling or plated HB & H 840g

Hiya

I’ve managed to pick up a lovely little toast rack, marked HB & HS.

HB & H seems to mean its by Harrison Brothers & Howson, but not sure whether the S means sterling or Sheffield?

Its followed by either 8402, or possibly 840g, although I really dont think it could ever have weighed 840 grammes.

See pictures. Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance

Hello Sue,

In this case the “S” means Sheffield. The numbers being the pattern number for the toast rack. It is not sterling silver but silver plated. Sorry!
