Hi, I am pretty sure this is silver plated but I’ve scoured the internet and have been unable to see anything similar. Apologies I know the image isn’t very clear. I will update with improved images shortly.
To get a better photo of the hallmarks, put the piece down on the table, instead of trying to hand-hold it. Then use both hands on the phone and get as close as you can to the piece. The phone will automatically shift into macro mode, and you might be able to get a nice closeup photo of the marks.
The mark, when rotated correctly, reads ID&S in gothic lettering for James Dixon & Son of Sheffield. This is one of their electroplate marks.
