Sugar Tong Sterling with trademark

This is nice looking it it old? worth any $ maybe $100? most of our silver came from New England, or Salem .

Hi there and thanks for joining us. It was made by the well known American maker, Gorham of Providence, RI. Gorham was one of the few American makers that used date marks on their goods, but a small item like yours would not be dated. It was ovviously made after the patent date of 1901, and the maker’s mark style suggests it was made in the early 1900s. Check the 'completed auctions" section on eBay and you will get an idea of its current value.

Regards,

Uncle Vic
