This fork was found inside a wall. I don’t even know the material.
It was probably originally electroplated - the marks are typical electroplaters’ marks. Not a set of marks which I recognise, but there are loads of undocumented marks out there. It must date from before 1896 as the use of a crown was outlawed at that date.
