It’s the two marks on either side of the “.925” I can’t find anywhere. I think the others say Lanson Ltd, Birmingham, .925, 1939.
The 2 marks you are having trouble with are the Dublin import mark and the Dublin date code for 1939.
That’s really helpful, thanks. The object is a cigarette box which we thought may be a wedding present for my in-laws, and my mother-in-law is from Belfast. They were married in 1940, so it looks like it was a present from my mother-in-law’s irish side of the family.
