Unknown Maker's Mark. Possibly Persian Silver

I need some help identifying these hall

marks on this piece that is possibly silver. Thanks.

I don’t believe it’s Persian, it’s using the Latin alphabet.

Thank you. I’m mainly trying to find out if it’s silver or not.

I believe it is solid silver. To be sure you have to do the test, if you polish it it will be easier to give a more assertive opinion from the photos, because if there is a difference in color (metal and silver plating) it will be easy to notice.

Can you gently clean up the central signature and take a high resolution photo?

It’s Porto, Portugal (1843-1853).

Thanks. Any idea if it’s silver?

Yes, it is silver, 833 or higher.
