I am from the tip of Africa and have been collecting silver objects for the past few years, mostly English. I found this small bowl in a second hand shop this weekend for R65 (US$6). It is not marked. It 11cm x 6cm. It is similar to ones made in Bali in the first part ofcthe previous century. I think it may be a sterling Ballnese offering bowl. The faces on it is of Garuda, known in Hindu as king of all birds. Any information about the bowl will be appreciated. Age, were it was made and if it could be sterling.
Got it tested at jeweler, most likely sterling.
