Firstly Hi,
Just registered as because I have turned forty I now have this desire to collect militaria, medals and silver!! I realise it’s Birmingham and could’nt find the maker anywhere but it’s the date which interests me as I have found conflicting date/letter images from hallmark sites. Any info greatly appreciated. 
The date letter is the “u” of 1894 and the maker is Stainton Brothers.
