What’s the symbols?

Hi all!

New to this forum. I tried all day to find information on the stamps in the picture but I am dumbfounded. A lion with a key in the face in a hexagon and a small m with a star above it. Either I’m terrible at google or the information is scarce..

Either way I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me what these symbols say or rather tell about the item. Thanks!

I believe this is Dutch silver. The right-facing lion passant with a “2” beneath indicates that it’s .833 fineness (as opposed to UK sterling, which is .925). The circled, lowercase gothic “M” looks like the date letter for 1871. The overstamped key indicates that the piece was intended for export.
