Thankyou very much,how collectable is a piece like this? It has been in our family for a long time. I was also trying to find more information on Robert victor Dumenil and what year he started as a silversmith.

Robert Victor Dumenil registered his first mark on 14th November 1895 but Culme in his “Directory of Gold and Silversmiths, Jewellers and Allied Traders 1838-1914” notes that he took over the business of Frederick Dumenil on the latter’s death in 1894.
