What's The Signifigance of "KES" (King Edwards Sil

I was helping a friend identify the pattern and material of some spoons she got at an estate sale.
They’re the Inauguration pattern of National Silver Co.

The back stamp reads “National Silver Company” and is followed by a crown with the initials K.E.S. I did some research on the net and found that this stands for “King Edwards Silver”, but I can find no data on what this marking signifies.

Is it a retailer? A British ‘edition’ of this American pattern?

Hi there and thanks for joining us. One of my references shows at least a dozen marks for National but none with the crown. A close up photo of the marks would be a help.

Regards,

Uncle Vic

I also have a large table spoon with these markings…here’s a picture

Thanks for the image - it will be useful as a reference. I suspect that KES is the name of a particular range of electroplate in the National Silver line up.
