I have a spoon assayed Dublin 1855, maker John Smyth (Smith) but who is the other name? I can find no record of EDW Gilbert linked to Dublin at that time, any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Rosie

Thank you so much for solving my mystery, they were a complex family those Gilbert’s, guessing EDW maybe was a son of the original Gilbert.
